Marriage Paperwork

A simple, straightforward meeting to sign your marriage licence with two witnesses. No rings, vows, or ceremony—just the legal requirements to officially register your marriage under the Ontario Marriage Act. Perfect for couples planning a destination wedding or those who want to separate the legal process from their public celebration (for example, if a friend is leading your ceremony).
Marriage Ceremony – Simple

Includes a virtual meet and greet, a simple and heartfelt standard ceremony, officiating the ceremony, and legal registration of your marriage licence.
Marriage Ceremony – Custom
$1,000
Includes a virtual meet and greet, the creation of a custom ceremony (with two rounds of edits), any ceremony rituals you’d like, officiating the ceremony, and legal registration of your marriage licence.
End-of-Life Ceremonies: Funerals, Memorials, Celebrations of Life
End-of-Life Ceremony – Simple

Includes a virtual meet and greet, the creation of a meaningful ceremony, and optional ceremony rituals. At the heart of every end-of-life ceremony is the desire to truly capture the spirit and essence of the person we are honouring.
End-of-Life Ceremony – Complex

Includes a virtual meet and greet, the creation of a meaningful ceremony, and optional ceremony rituals. Ideal for larger, more involved gatherings with multiple speakers, complex logistics, or extended ceremonies.

I work with a talented network of musicians across styles and instruments and can help you select the perfect music to enrich, personalize, and elevate your event.

Price Varies
Travel within 50km of my business location is included. Travel beyond 50km is billed at CRA mileage rates (currently approximately $0.72/km).
Long Weekend Ceremonies
$200
An additional fee applies for ceremonies scheduled on long weekends.
Additional Rounds of Edits for Custom Ceremonies
$50
Two rounds of edits are included with all custom ceremony packages. Additional edits are available if needed.

Applying for a
Marriage Licence
You need a valid Marriage Licence to get legally married in Ontario. Here’s how to get yours.

When to Apply
You can pick up your licence no earlier than 90 days before your wedding day. Make sure you time it right — the licence is valid for 90 days from the date of issue.
Where to Get Your Licence
Visit any City Hall, Town Hall, or Municipal Office in Ontario in person to pick up your licence.
Before you go, check your municipality’s website for specific ID and document requirements.
